This casserole was buried in the bottom of a box I got at auction. I love it but can not seem to find out who the maker is. I would appreciated any help, The bottom says calif 800 or calef800. Thanks.

OOhhh - I've seen this mark before. It is on my square pottery planters which ironically seem to be almost the same exact color as your casserole. It is calif and I found in my research under Far West Pottery because one of my pieces was marked that way. But if you google Far West pottery it comes out with everyone on the West Coast. - google "calif USA" and check the images. My square planters are in my "Art Pottery" CW collection
Thanks Mustangtony and ROBin Hawaii for your comments. Now I feel as though I can solve the mystery! Isn't this fun?
