I know nothing at all about this beauty. I picked it up today for a few dollars at a local thrift store. Im not sure you can tell it or not, but I was trying to capture the opalescence of it in the light so that you might see all the pinks and blues and purples. It looks almost like a transparent milk glass. It has a pattern in the glass that resembles that of a reptile and is almost shaped like a star fish in the middle of the dish. All I can say is I took ALOT of pictures trying to capture the real beauty of it and failed miserably. Pictures cannot do this one justice. It is gorgeous! Enjoy...! And if anyone out there can tell me more about it I would love to learn. Thanks.

Another lovely! But still no help from me!
I own this, too and it is a Victorian era piece. It is pictured in "Milk Glass" by Belknap, which is considered a prime resource for milk glass collectors, published in the 1940's. He simply calls it "Leaf Plate" and states it has "brilliant opalescent fire." As far as I know there is no attribution documented anywhere about the manufacturer, as is the situation with many pieces of old milk glass. It was also made in a pastel pink, which as you can imagine is quite rare!
Thank you for the info. It is as described, very fiery in color.
Hi JayHow, hope all is well.
Hello nldionne. Things are getting better, thanks for asking. We are having issues with the internet, as in we practically dont have any. My daughter used up all the data for the month, by accident of course, but nonetheless it has been rough not having it for research and the like. Hope you are well and thanks for stopping by to say hello. :)
