Unlike the Ingraham Pastor Stop Watch I posted previously, that is a full chronograph, This is a start / stop only watch.
Again, manufactured by The E. Ingraham Co. this is the Pastor Sports Stop Watch for basketball & football. Moving the start/ stop slide bar towards the crown, starts the watch, sliding back, stops the time.
On the back plate, there is a number 86 below the slide/stop bar (see plate #3 above). Ingraham used a dating system for manufacture dates in various ways:
64/2 (line under 64, 2 below) would be Feb. 1964
546 would be May 1946
8 (space) 25 would be Aug. 1925
53 would be 1953
Being that The E. Ingraham Co. was from 1835 to 1958, renamed The Ingraham Co. in 1958, sold to McGraw-Edison Co. Nov. 30, 1967 and continued as Ingraham Division-McGraw-Edison and began importing watches in 1967 then ceased making watches in 1971, this number 86 does not fit their dating system.
My guess is this watch is from the mid to late 40's.
