This is a masonite coke sign that a friend of mine found the other day in a junk pile at a trailer park. He didn't know anything about it except it was going to be thrown away, so he gave it to me. I am hoping someone has information about it and maybe could give me an idea of what it's worth. I looked online & found out it's masonite, but the one online was smaller. This one measures 67 3/4" long and 32" tall. On the bottom left corner it says AM-9-4. Trademark U.S. patent office is written below Coca-Cola. It has some holes and some have been patched, but still displays very well as you can see from the photo. The color is great. What should I do with it? Would it hurt to touch it up with paint or should I leave it as is? Any info would be appreciated.

You can donate it to a collector of vintage coca-cola items, I know just the person!!
Your sign is worth $150-300 to me (not an expert), but I would not attempt to restore it unless you have a little experience doing such things. It disp-lays well as is, and a professional resto will cost some several hundreds.
Put it in a nice frame and enjoy!
Donate it to the Masonite Coke Sign Collectors Society. They go by the name of "The MasonKnights." I can provide you with my, I mean their email address. Plus it's tax-deductible. A win-win situation for me, I mean you and them.
Nice find.
Nice sign, but that's an awesome view you have from your porch!
Thanks for the entertaining comments, guys! I appreciate your honesty. I will consider that tax deduction part. I am definitely keeping it. I'll have a nice frame made for it & hang it in my house. Thanks for the info.
check-out this bad boy for an idea on a frame for yours, one piece mdf trim and one piece of mdf out of the home depot scrap bin, a little gold spray paint, and walla!!

Thanks for the idea of that frame it looks great.I think im going to make one as close to it as possible.
You could also donate it to Invisible Friend Schools Of America, of which I am the Principle at this time.
Sweet Sign! Very lucky find, you should leave it all original rather than trying to touch it up. Most collectors like their antiques all original, no repairs.
You have a very generous friend.
