got it for cheap. 1976. No battery covers (screw type). Looking at the battery spot, it seems that all the contact points for the watch module are inside the case, so the battery covers only physically hold the batteries in. That isn't the hard part (tape ) j/k. I went to a battery place and they matched batteries up, but the module didnt want to run. Boo hoo. Luckily the guy must have seen my S.F. Giants shirt (lets go) and he put the batteries back and didnt charge me! He wouldnt even take a tip! i have been in there multiple times with different watches making weird requests (i even took my honda civic hybrid battery apart and took one of the cells in to test it and see if I could build another) but anyways, the guy was nice and I only lost what I spent on the watch!!
