This is my second CW Post on Jersey: I have taken these photographs, they have never been published before, and as such are copyright of Shire Studios. They are of the Nazi underground hospital on the Channel Island of Jersey. They are from our thorough exploration of the Islands' remnants and artifacts of the Second World War when they were occupied by the Nazis.

Photo .1: Is a collection of signage recovered from within the hospital.

Photo .2: Is one of the Operating Theatres. (Chilling!)

Photo .3: Is the Ventilation/Purification System found in all WW2 German underground facilities, be they bunkers, storage, manufacturing or medical...Even the "Fuhrer Bunker" had this very system!.....they all used this standardised system. A hand crank (missing) could be fitted to the bottom of the unit, for cranking in a power failure!

Photo .4: Is the main air filtration plant....still operating to this day!

Hohlgangsanlage 8 (often abbreviated to Ho8, also known as the German Underground Hospital or the Jersey War Tunnels) was a partially completed underground hospital complex in St. Lawrence, Jersey, built by German occupying forces during the occupation of Jersey during World War II. Over 1 km (1,100 yd) of tunnels were completed. After the liberation of the Channel Islands, the complex was converted into a museum detailing the occupation and remains a visitor attraction.
