This clock belonged to my great grandmother in the 50's and 60's. I got it from a family member about 4 years ago. My grandfather subsequently tried to fix it, and it did play music and worked for a while after that. It has now stopped and I know that the springs are broken but the clock is in good condition even as an ornament. As I repair clocks a bit myself, I misplaced a golden top piece of the clock, that I will try to find it the near future. As for the maker of this clock, it is made by Bucherer, with an 8 day movement. I believe that the maker is Swiss or German, but this remains to be clarified, as out of the many clocks that I have, I never really heard of the maker. Thanks!
