I realized tonight that I probably have more posters, postcards, and handbills with the words Quicksilver Messenger Service on them than any other band. I can live with that. Here's another. QMS headlined, with support from the Miller Blues Band (as in Steve) and the Daily Flash. Dates were March 10 and 11, 1967. You gotta love Victor Moscoso's lettering on this one. The colors aren't bad, either.

Very nice piece, I love all the QMS album cover art as well. I love artistic lettering, I was good friends and fill in man for Steve Powers growing up in the city If I would have stuck with it I may have been as infamous as he. Should show some of my rooftop art I photo'd 20 sum years ago.

Nice lettering! I curated an art show once in 84 or 85, which included a guy from NYC named Zephyr. He painted the words "Pride" and "Passion" on two big walls. I have photos of it somewhere. It was painted over for the next show.
very familiar with Zephr, his work was first published in "subway art" by Henry Chalfant in the early 80's. I was obsessed with the art in the book which led me to pursue the sport. I have photos of me years later giving Henry Chalfant the underground grand tour of Philly.
