I've been in a possession of this mysterious (smile) spoon for years, but never actually research the value and the history of it.
I should have cleaned it first, but was too excited when discovered this website.
Any help would be much appreciated!

Very nice! I am no pro, but I do not think your spoon is sterling silver. A1 refers to "high quality" silver plate. Coincidentally I picked up a few very similar items to this yesterday afternoon that I am going to list later tonight!
