Taken around 1960. The boy on the right is my uncle and the boy on the left is his best friend growing up. To me this encapsulated what it was to be a young boy around that time. Very Rockwell-esque!

Why is the blue helmet so elongated? Is that for a particular position or something? I dont see them like that today.
Not sure if it is a different position, but helmets were made differently back then.
