This is my Joe St. Clair Chocolate Slag Dolphin, this is a reproduction of the Greentown Dolphin, which is very scarce! This piece has been proudly stamped by St. Clair on the interior.
A little history, originally designed by Charles E. Beam (some time prior to the fall of 1900) to be his entry in a glass design contest. No doubt his amazing creation won him the top honor and a prize of $500.00 (Big, Big money in 1900)! Hence the dolphin pieces produced from his winning design were originally referred to as simply "Prize".
Even though this is a reproduction it is still a Wonderful piece! Thanks for looking!
Best Regards

and here all along i thought it was just a big mouth bass -- so glad i got educated on this one -- have one in the uranium/vaseline glass -- pending on which side of the atlantic your standing on -- no knit picking allowed on terminology -- total waste of time in my opinion -- good luck with your schooling!!!!! -- wishing you all the very best in this and all the coming years
