This is an original Black Cat firecracker poster from my private collection of vintage posters. It measures approximately 23.5" x 35.5" and is in "A" condition. It was printed in Macau, and is printed on super thin, fragile paper, almost like tissue paper. It is very similar to the fragile paper or tissue they used to wrap the actual firecrackers in, for those who can remember. Circa. 1970's
I have always thought the "Black Cat" logo was a cool and sinister graphic, one that would surely advertise DANGER to children. As you can see, the poster's design was actually borrowed from the original package label the firecrackers were wrapped in, with the exception of the distributor's name and location printed at the bottom of the poster, this poster was from Arrowhead Fireworks out of Minnesota.
As you can see from the second picture I am running out of wall space, so this poster will join some of the others in my flat file drawer, which by the way is the proper way to store vintage posters as they lay flat.

That Black Cat logo sure brings back good memories. Nice poster zguy2112!
Thanks MattyG, brings back many memories for myself as well. Just glad I still have all my fingers.
It was all fun and games till I lit that one with the short fuse.
Exactly! There was ALWAYS one with a short fuse and probably still is. Eventually I decided to play it safe with fireworks and put them all in 1 bag and light the bag on fire! Now THAT was always a great show to see!
Screams of the 1970s, many people will remember this as a good time on their lives.
For sure Signaholic, sometimes I wish I could go back in time; The new millennium blows!
