For my 300th posting, I thought I'd share something I never knew before. And post something with trivia education.
Just when you think you might have seen or heard of them all, here come another. This is a Very Rare piece. There are several of the Gene Autry watches, The New Haven, Muros and Wilane. I have posted all of these and thought I had the full array, but then I ran across this one, Have no printed reference material to these other than an old 1949 "Sale" ad. The ad shows these to be mfg by the Lancaster Co. of New York. The movement and case back are stamped with the correct logo and this is a complete piece. The case back has not got the Gene autograph like the others, but the strap(band) does have the autograph( as listed in the ad) Thought I share my new find and my new education in the Gene watches timeline! Also added a link below in the comments, that shows this piece offered in the "BillBoard" dated Nov 6, 1948. Thanks For looking and hope you find something interesting in my postings!!
