Hello....hoping some one is able to tell me what this is...it is carved wood, by hand, and is meant to come apart. I actually have two of them. I first thought maybe they were book ends, however, they are not heavy enough. They are also meant to come apart which leads me to believe they are some kind of scroll holder perhaps. But I really don't have a clue. The wood smells like cedar but I am not positive. The other one is not identicle but close, it is almost like someone copied it or something. Maybe they were used to hold music at the piano or something....??? please help....Thank you Sal..Oh hopefully you can see the carving...it is gargoyal..ish with a dragon or snake on the bottom block of wood.
