This advertising pocket watch is made in Great Britain by Ingersoll, probably in the early to mid 50s. It has an animated Toucan. Cheers!
Note : rniedeman commented that this watch could be pre 1950s due to the slim body and long beak of the toucan. However, pw-collector has since pointed out that the watch is in fact dated 1961 December based on the movement serial numbers.

your very welcome geo26:)
Thank you for the Love miederman!
Very cool ... would go well with my Guinness advertising canvas art (SH Benson stuff). BTW, first versions of the smiling head appeared in the 1930s. However, the toucan's beak appears to be an early version (narrow and long) of around 1935+ (or so). Over the years, the toucan gained weight and the beak was shortened. It could be the watch is older than the 1950s based on the toucan's appearance ... FWIW.
You could be right rniederman. I was just guessing the age of the watch. Thanks for the insight!
Cheers Phil & snoopy!
Cheers Dave!
In George Townsands book on Dollar Watches he list:
Ingersoll Limited - Great Britain 1950's and in this list is Guiness Time.
USA Ingersoll's were dated by serial numbers. I looked at a couple of GB Ingersoll's I have and one has 68 under MADE IN GT BRITAIN (maybe 1968) and the other has 5312M (which could be Dec. 1953).
Yours I can't read all, but looks like 611??M.
Just guessing this is a dating system they used on GB made Ingersolls
Dave
Dave, thanks very much for the info. The numbers are 6112 so it is a December 1961 watch.
