stopsign
(1 item)
Acquired 2 Vintage Stop Signs. Have emailed many people from east to west coast, collectors, antique stores, archives, etc... and comments I have received are never seen ones like these, rare, etc...First sign illuminated STOP and has red flasher and says Auto Club of So. Cal (now AAA automobile assoc.- they have one of the second one in their collection) and on reverse side also illuminated shows intersection directions for Wilshire Blvd. and Catalina St. which was the intersection of the famous Ambassador Hotel built in 1921 and demolished in 2005. The second sign has a red flasher and reflectors that show STOP. Nothing on the reverse side. Have been trying to find old pictures of the first sign in use at the intersection denoted on the sign but no luck yet.
