I love this turtle snuff bottle - found him at a swap meet in the early 90's. Also bought an "ear of corn" snuff bottle that day which was just gorgeous, but it fell off my shelf and broke into a thousand pieces. I visted China 3 years ago - couldn't find one similar to my turtle. Does anyone have any more info? It doesn't matter to me if it's not valuable - he is very charming and I'd like to know more about him.

this is just so cute:)
I think this particular kind is called peking glass overlay but I'm still not sure how old it is. I'm pretty sure that's not the right stopper - it doesn't fit.
what a cutie
Thank you Autumn - yes it is a darling little bottle. Thank you Bellin, Mikko, Amber, inky, blunderbuss, Moonstone, and toolate for your love.
