I have not idea if it is a collection piece. It is a lamp with a motor inside that simulates an antique chimney.
It was made in Chicago, but I haven't found any reference to the manufacturer.
Any information will be appreciated.

    I do recognize this piece they were put in a lot of fake fireplaces starting probably in the 40s to around 1970. I had one in my old Russian veneered fireplace which hid a stereo and lit bar under the top.

    The first fireplace photo was a plaster one circa 1940 to 1950 which had a neat light in coals at the bottom and the last fireplace was the one which opened up also. This next link shows the fireplace front open :
