I found this Chanel purse in a garage sale, at the beginning I though it was a fake for the price.
But, after reviewing, it looks very old. It doesn't have serial, but I read that before 1984, they didn't use serials.
Any expert that can tell if it is true or fake????
the year maybe?

For close to 20 years now, I have purchased handbags from Walmart. Chanel bags have always been luxury items, and I never owned one, so I'm not much help here. Much of the high finery of youth was inherited or acquired second hand. I can say that I love the style of this handbag, and that I think it's beautiful. It is as 'eternal' as a fashion item can be. So glad that you found this this very beautiful bag.
Looks like you've done your homework. I read a couple of articles trying to see if I could find anything that would help you. I post some links below, though you probably have already encountered the e.how and youtube features. I have just three comments to make here.
Firstly, I noticed when I first examined the bag with an end towards helping you that the quilting squares are not perfectly aligned with the 'tongue tab'. That might indicate a knock-off. According to one of these authentication checklists, something off-kilter is a flag that it's a fake.
Secondly, I notice the stitching blooper that you wisely highlighted in Photo No. 4. Bad sign.
Thirdly, although the hardware seems nice enough, it doesn't look to me to be quite fine enough to be Chanel. Perhaps it's the photos? Very hard to photograph something so shiny! I should think that the Chanel double "C" would be a bit finer. However, I do emphasize that I have never owned a Chanel handbag, window shopped for one, or longed for one! Finally, have you checked to see if you can find the double-hatching in the one "C" on authentic bags of this style? Follows directly below a page of images and links to 'authentic Chanel' bags.
