Norwegian M38 steel helmet with front badge removed, Vidkun Quisling Nazi Party decal applied, and then overpainted in lighter green leaving most of the decal exposed. Some helmets have a decal on the other side showing a swastika, the same as the SS. This helmet just has a single decal.
Vidkun Abraham Lauritz Jonssøn Quisling; 18 July 1887 – 24 October 1945) was a Norwegian politician. On 9 April 1940, with the German invasion of Norway in progress, he seized power in a Nazi-backed coup d'état.

Thanks for looking officialfuel, JueBoo, and walksoftly.
Very interesting helmet! I notice that there is an 'incipient comb' at the crest. Haven't seen that on a Nazi helmet before.
