I am not sure the year of this machine. It was found outside near a barn. Totally weathered. The veneer on the right side was falling off and as seen in the far right picture replaced with new veneer. I used what was good from it and replaced the veneer on the lid with it. The machine was made with tiger oak. The tiger oak is real hard to find and very expensive. I decided to replace it with red oak veneer which looked similar. The back of the machine was at one time patched with plywood. I removed that and rebuilt it then re-veneered it as well. The front grill was gone so I made a new one with a design from off the top of my head. Two months after I finished it I discovered it was a design similar to one for a table top version of the same company. Spooky! It's like something was telling me what the original grill looked like. I also rebuilt the motor which had a broken spring. It plays real well now. It will only play 33's or 78's not both. It seems it was built that way. After some light sanding I gave it four coats of amber shellac. I rebuilt the sound box and now she sound great. I need help telling me what year she is from.
