I've had this buffalo since 1971 and acquired it from a gentleman who said it came from an Indaian reservation in Wyoming. He was of Indian descent and his name was Mickey O'connor.
I have been told it was probably a mount from when Bill Cody waas hired to kill buffalo for workers on building the railroads out west, the nicer heads were put on display. However I do know in 1885 he had the largest private herd of buffalo in the world at his Scout's Rest Ranch in Nebraska.
Any help identifiing this would be greatly appreciated.
Unfortunately, it is hand printed and not written.
