This is a rare two-tone green 1950 Schwinn Panther Straightbar with all the original parts. It has skip tooth with a sweethart crank and sproket. The saddle in its original condition. I installed an nos set of Schwinn Typhoon Cord tires and tubes. I bought this bike from a guy back East who bought it from the original owner. The bike was in the condition as you see in picture 4 as he painted the tank, rear rack and the light the incorrect color, and he also painted over the Panther sticker and light green paint on the chain guard. I was able to remove the paint off the chain guard and to my surprise I found the original paint and original Panther decal underneath. Otherwise the bike has all original paint and decals, however I did have to repaint the light and the rack. I had to repair the rust on the tank and put the original color back on the tank. I am in the process of getting the original Schwinn decals and need to restripe the tank so that it brings it back to its original condition. Even though these are the original fenders I am looking to find a better set of original fenders. I have spent many hours of work and elbow grease removing the rust and polishing the original paint out to bring it back to its original condition. Even though I am not done completely with the bike I have had many compliments already expressing what a beautiful bike this is.
