In the trench art collecting field, WW1 airplanes are a prize.

They are very hard to find and usually command a high price.

This WW1 plane is made from a bullet in the center with sheet brass wings and tail.

Small wires have been added for the wing supports found on early planes.

Reproduction of this image in any form is not authorized.

Thanks for looking nvsmom-- if you like trench art, be sure to take a look at all of my other listings. I have about 100 trench art postings on Collectors Weekly.

This is great, reminds me of something similar I saw many years ago, hanging from an airship which was also made from a brass shell.

Lots of detail on that one, right down to the pots on the radial engine, love it.

Thanks again walksoftly. As general rule, the WW1 objects do show finer quality and more detail (for both engraved shells and miniatures).
