Are there any marks on the bottom? Very clever painting of the frogs!

Hi, I saw them yesterday. Now it makes more sense. The Sevres mark is a double L combo. This mark is more a diamond created with four strokes. There is a letter within. What do you see it as being? I think I see an R.

Is it a porcelain body or is it faience, tin glazed pottery?

So do you think its Severs ?

Sèvres? No, not at all. It's not oriental either. I thinks it's Art's and Crafts. I'm waiting for cogito to have a look at it.

Thanks for the effort, Arts and Crafts era sounds right

You're welcome. It's a great piece of painting. Love the playfulness of the chase.
Those tadpoles look like a vision of souls in the Inferno of Dante's Inferno in Canto V!
