    Lisa-light…
    (30 items)

I just saw the post done by MarobeQueen and when I was saying the lamp was made by Aladdin I also mentioned that I had one with it's original shade and finial. I thought it might be useful to see it. Hence this post. The finial on this lamp is called Plume and it was made in 1949. The shade is hardbacked and has loads of little bumps and bruises but they are fortunately only on the side I turn to the wall. :O) This is not one of the models that has a three way switch and a light in the base.
I believe this model is late forties/early fifties but I am sure their are Aladdin folk here that will know for sure. I hope this is of some use to someone. Apologies for the images. I have the shakes today. I also didn't show the fire which is so evident in these finals. Perhaps someone else could point MarobeQueen to an image. I'll look too. This lamp is not for sale.
    Sincerely,
    Lisa

Very nice Lisa! You never see these with the original shades.

Thank you both. The shade has had a licking but it has a good side. ;o) The little spider cracks in the hardback are very showy with the light on but most are on the ''back''. It also received a glass of water one evening so there is a water stain too. So it doesn't live in the guest room anymore but I am still fond of it. In retrospect the guest room was not the best place for it. Live and learn.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa
