I am wondering if anyone can tell me about these cool little knives. I just picked them up earlier today.

The name on the blade, Uchatiusbronce, is usually associated with either German or Austrian made porcelain handles. Is there any mark on the porcelain as to the maker, or any country stamped on the blades??

Oops.. hit enter too soon. Most blades are a bronze alloy from what little I know about them, though some older ones may have been bronze blades.

Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin and would be more brown color. These blades look like they are brass which is an alloy of copper and zinc.

They may well be brass, mustangtony. I found some that were said to have brass blades.

Thanks mustangtony and chinablue. I do not see any markings on the handles. No country markings either. Is there a way to test the difference between brass and bronze?

I have some just like these they are brass from Thailand. Brass cleans very easy, not bronze.
