i found this 4.25" square tile a long time ago and i know nothing about it except that it says 'Mexico' on the back along w/ some production code. does anyone have an idea how old? or anything about it? thanks.

I had some of those in the 70's I drove to Mexico and brought back about 25 like that. They were not cheap then!
This design is very old. I have several in the wonderful Mexican Navy blue and I think I have one in green. They are use today for baths and backsplashes in kitchens and for simpler uses like coasters. Lots of tile from Puebla and from Delores Hidalgo in Guanajuato. Very beautiful and very useful.
