WW11 British tank crew steel helmet. With the latest (at that time) quick release chin strap. Both helmet and chin strap dated 1945. The fastening at the top of the helmet holding the liner is a "lift the dot" fastener, a small flap with a brass ring clips over a brass stud fixed to the top of the helmet, making a quick release for the liner.
