Dear Mac,
In your group image, could you please tell me what you know about the piece in the first row, third from the left? I am intrigued by the texture of this shade. It is a shade isn't it?
Sincerely,
Lisa
Hey Lisa (fellow Ontarian),
The piece in question is a vase by Kralik and decor is Snake Skin. It is one of my favs that I picked when I first started collecting.
Mac
Dear Mac,
Thank you so much for your timely response. I really appreciate it. How neat that we are neighbours. ;o) May I ask you where you turn for your research? Do you have a favourite source? At the moment this site has to be mine.;o) I have a decent library here but I am not as able to use it as I once was. My vision is affected by my ability to process and that is a day to day some times hour to hour thing. Do you know of any gathering of collectors here? Learning is so much easier for me when I can see and hear too. I am determined to get to Passau when I can manage it but I have a fair bit to learn before I can fully appreciate the museum. I wanted to try and start a little group of art glass collectors to meet perhaps once a month but I didn't get any further than thinking. ;o) Perhaps I'll give it another go in the new year unless of course you have news for me of one that already exisits.
Sincerely,
Lisa
Hi Lisa perhaps we should exchange email info - not sure how to do that. I am not comfortable exchanging info in a public forum like this. Thoughts?
Dear Mac,
Here is mine. Then you may write directly if you wish and then we will have each other's.
