Whitney's German-English & English-German Dictionary
Copyright 1877 by Henry Holt & Company, 25 Bond Street, New York.
William Dwight Whitney, professor of Sanskirt and Comparative Philology in Yale College.
Glued to the inside front cover and next page are a list of books for the study of German and the study of French published by Henry Holt & Co. and associated prices from $0.50 to $1.60.

On the first blank page is a signature of who I believe is the first owner of this dictionary. It reads:

Between the first & second blank page is purple color 4" x 4-1/4" insert (into the binding) advertisement for GASC'S French Dictionaries
