This is another that belonged to my grandmother. I never use it because it goes with nothing else I own, but love the look of it. I have tried and tried to photograph this bowl so that it's colors and iridescence truly shows up well without a lot of success. I settled on these. Sadly the wide blue stripe around the outside shows reflections of the roses in the cloth underneath it, as did every other thing I sat it on! The stripe and the cloth are the same color, but the roses show up. It is marked with the 5 "M" cherry blossom mark dating it to 1924. According to Gotheborg site, "Mark sub-contracted to independent companies making porcelain for the USA Market, by the Nippon Toki Kasha Company (Noritake Company). Date: c 1924. " I found it attributed to Sakura. I have found no other like it, and in fact can find very little about this iridescent style. The inside bottom of the bowl has lovely shimmer to it and the colors of the flowers are bright and deep. It measures 11 inches long, just over 8 inches wide and 6 inches deep. If you happen to know the pattern name, I'd love to know what it is.

So pretty
The iridesence looks almost like lustreware.
Thanks to mustangtony, AmberRose, and BELLIN68 for the love and the comments. Much appreciated! :-)
As for it looking like lustreware, mustangtony, I should have realized that! I'm running in circles cleaning house, cooking and posting some things when I need to sit for a minute or two. Thanks for the heads up. I'll change the title to show your good eye. :-)
Thanks to Manikin and miKKo for the love! Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! :-)
