I AM NEARING THE END OF MY LEYENDECKER THANKSGIVING COVER PRESENTATIONS.

1929. ONE OF THE FEW YOUNG FEMALES IN LEYENDECKER'S PRODUCTION, THE EARTH GODDESS SHOWERS HUMANITY WITH THE FALL'S HARVEST CORNUCOPIA BOUNTY. A CLEVER WAY OF PICTURING BOTH THE HOLIDAY AND THE SEASON.

1930. I LOVE THE THREE BUTCHER BABY COVERS!

1932. A BIT ANACHRONISTIC, THIS COVER DOCUMENTS A FANTASY THANKSGIVING LOCATED IN A VAGUELY CONTINENTAL SETTING--PROBABLY ENGLAND.

1933. I HAVE POSTED THIS ONE BEFORE, BUT IT BEARS SHOWING ONCE MORE. WHAT CALLED MY ATTENTION WAS THE SCRAWNY TURKEY, A STARK REMINDER OF THE DEPRESSION.

1933 - Ben Franklin's original choice for National bird... :) Interesting take on a "family crest"
