I was the sr. supervisor with UCLA Telecommunication Dept. during the 1984 Olympics. UCLA Telcom, GTE, PacBell, AT&T long Lines. We had to provide mass communications for T.V. & radio stations, newspaper journalists, wire service. This service was provided in those days with landlines (copper & fiber optics) via satellite. The first photo is my security badge required by the Olympic Organization for access to the Olympic venues and Olympic Village. I also got caught up in the olympic pin collecting, but i collected only law enforcement pins. Only twenty of the GTE cap were made and I was lucky enought to receive one from the GTE crew that were working on the UCLA campus during the Olympic.
