Someone called this a carpet back Recliner. Found one on Google images . It was identical accept it had a full upholstered back. Under the seat on wood is written ?2 Elm St., Cincinnati , Pat. Febr. s??, . The writting is very faint and most of it can't be read. The sling part is a wool carpet that appears original to the chair design. The seat is upholstered with five springs. There is some faint carving at the top that appears folk or art deco. An unusual feature are hinges that secure the back legs to the seat base. They cannot function as hinges as there is a bar that holds the feet apart.
