I just picked this Swift Stereo Ninety microscope up last Saturday for $8. I'm not sure of the year it was made but is marked Japan on the bottom. The eye sights adjust to the width of your eyes when both are twisted simultaneously, and height adjusts in two inch range. I guess when music graduated from mono to stereo, the term was hip and marketable.

That was the bargain of the year!! If you google the name you may be able to look up the serial number and find out the date of manufacture. Stereo here refers to the dual optics which gives the user stereo vision. These stereo scopes are great for looking at coins for counterfeit and alteration detection. I bought mine which is a much older American made version in an antique mall for just under $90. and couldn't get my money out fast enough.
Thanks for the love mustangtony and Bellin68
It looks like a metallography microscope, not as biological one.
pawis, it has the two attachments for holding down glass slides so I suspect it could be used both ways.
Gorgeous microscope!
Thank you miKKoChristmas11, I would like to post my new Merlin 19" LCD magnifier, It's great for grading or closely examining almost anything, but not collectible, yet?
