I have had this for awhile but do not know what it is. I picked it up at a grage sale and it has silver markings.

    Looked like it was made up-side down for a snuffer(maybe for below the equator)LOL(before somebody thinks I'm serious). We get rewards now? Pewter, tin, lead? Guess it would have to come C.O.D. eh?

    Hems, how did you end up on this thread? Thought you went to bed. I need to but having fun with inky. CW is actually bringing my Eng. back, or my Alabamese. Do you think that "Rosette Stone" course might help?

    Lol you guys :) I think it's actually upside down in the photo - the little bobbles sticking up are it's feet? It's a candle wick trimmer, I think that's already been said - keeping the wick trimmed reduces the flame height on your candle and so they burn slower, saving on wax. The silver marks are hard to make out, did anybody find them for you?
