After the Watergate issue , These "Cute" time pieces were sold. There were called the "Dickey " mouse watches. They feature Richard Nixon as Mickey Mouse with the the hour hand having a mouse-trap on the fingers. these were sold by the "Goodtime" in 1973 and claimed to be "Watergate Proof". It is still one of my favorite "Character" watches.
Thanks for looking and hope you enjoyed see one.

That is so funny. I was ten years old when Nixon resigned over the Watergate scandal. One of my older brothers got a Spiro Agnew watch for Christmas around that time. Agnew, who was Nixon's Vice-President, resigned before Nixon did. Agnew was also the Governor of Maryland at one time. I grew up in Maryland, but was too young to understand what was going on in politics then. I remember the Nixon watches, but the only Agnew watch I ever remember seeing or hearing about was the one my brother had.
Thanks for the memories . . . I think . . .
