After seeing Pawis's lighthouse lamp, I thought I would post mine. This was bought in the early 50's whilst on holiday at the Lizard peninsular, South Cornwall, England. It is made from the granite of the area, the top half being polished and the bottom unpolished. Hope you like it!

Thank you vetraio50 - My partner's parents bought it back in the 50's, I can tell you it is incredibly heavy but comes in three parts. I was later made into a working lamp by my partner's father! If that was a good move or not - can't be sure!!
But it is a talking piece as it is very much on the large side. I should have taken a closer photograph of the polished granite and it is extremely pretty.

Thank you so much ozmarty for the Love and links! Enjoyed looking at them! I did see a much smaller one (approx 8"-10" ) at a car boot sale some years back, but regrettably never bought it!

Ozmarty your place sounds like mine, so much stuff you cannot find certain things when they are brought to mind!
