    Lisa-light…
    (30 items)

This morning I noticed these as I was coming downstairs and the shape seemed to jump out at me. I then went on line to CW and found the post by Jericho, as seen here. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/assets/stories/s6YB8jMfkzOsD1lVEMllTA.jpg
I wrote to Jericho and then it was too late to chicken out so here I am.
Dare I say that these shades were made by Kralik? Granted my shades do have large prunts, but if we look only at the shape does anyone think I might be right? And if I am way off would anyone please take the time to tell me what is obvious to them that I am missing?
Thank you in advance for any information you would care to share with me. Thank you too for taking the time to look and read this post.
    Sincerely,
    Lisa

Lisa, I can't read the purple lettering on your photo. What does it say?

      Dear Vintagedollcolector,
I am sorry how foolish of me. It says, the arrow above points to the iridescence that is ever present on the whole surface of these shades, except when I was trying to capture it with my camera. Or words to that effect. Thank you for your interest. I appreciate it.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

      Dear Leah,
Thank you so much for having taken the time to enlighten me. I appreciate your time and expertise. Is there any chance that you have an image of a piece done by Poschinger with similar decor? I am anxious to understand and learn as much as I can. Thank you again.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

      Dear,
LoetzBuddies , Justanovice, Obscurities, ozmarty, Greatsnowyowl, Hornet, ks85, MacArt, Manddmoir, czechman and inky I want to thank you for taking the time to look at my shades. I am so pleased that you love them too. I only wish I could photograph like Tony so you could really see them properly. I have this set on the fixture over the staircase here. The fixture is a gas/electric and I have gas slips that work well with the shades. They are on a very similar ground and have random threading in green. There is also a beaded skirt that needs to be redone, it is a project for this winter on snowy evenings. I will shoot the fixture when I have it done so you can see what I have done with these. Thank you all again for making me feel so welcome. You are the great. I will keep working on my camera skills I have a lot to learn and I love it. Learning that is.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

I am probably wrong, but these look American in style to me. It is more of a Quezal shape with Fostoria stylings and rare Steuben threading. It is either a rare group or a newer product made to confuse. I really love them either way.

Thank you JohannB. I appreciate your having taken the time to look at the shades. I am as sure as I can be that they are not new shades. I will look again at the shapes of Quezal. I haven't seen this random threading on Steuben shades but I would love to. Do you have any images of the three makes that you mention in your post? If so I would love to see them. Thank you again. I appreciate your time.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa
I had a chap write to me and send images of a lamp he has and wants to know more about. I am not able to help him. Would you take a look? I can either email his letter and images to you. Or I could put them on line and email you a link? If you have either or both the time and the inclination. Please let me know.

Thank you so much for your help and loves and likes since I have been here, and I hope you and your family have a safe Happy Christmas and a wonderful New Year!...:-)

      Dear Inky,
You are more than welcome. I just wish I could be more useful. I did find an image of the powder box Southern Belle so I will send that on to your email address too.
I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and 2013 will just have to be our best yet. :O)
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

Oops, Inky I am sorry I got mixed up. It was spirit in the sky to whom I sent the depression glass lamp pics. Duh! Please ignore that bit of my last message.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

      Dear Bellin,
Thank you! I hope you are having a good holiday too. We had some snow on the ground Christmas morning so I was happy. It just isn't Christmas for me unless it is snowy. I'm looking forward to ordering some of those Butler Brother's catalogues now that Christmas shopping has been done. :O) Hopefully I will have some show and tells to do rather than my usual show and Asks. :O)
      Sincerely,
      Lisa

HI; if you look at the Kralik threaded piece (posted a couple times) at http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/60990-kralik--nouveau-threading
and on kralik-glass.com it will look a lot like your shades. I'm no expert by any means, but can't help notice the similarity. Beautiful.

      Dear Fishiowa,
Thank you. Yes, that first vase is what prompted my post. It is very similar in shape isn't it?
I think when next the sunshines here I will shoot some more threaded shades.
I appreciate your interest. Thank you for your time.
      Sincerely,
      Lisa
