I said I wasn't going to buy any watches in December, but was surfing the Bay , under "newly Listed" and here this was, a 1949 Bambi with a "Ultra" rare sweep second hand movement. These were part of the Mickey Birthday series. Well it had a "Buy-It-now" price of $.99 and $2.75 S/H. Couldn't believe it, WOW, must be mistake, but I clicked it and paid for it, sure enough, it was accepted and order marked shipped with delievery comformation #. Now I need to buy a lotto ticket.

Hi Kerry, well done and I wish I could pick up a birthday series watch for 99 cents!!! Could you explain a little more about this sweep second movement. Also, the 48 also has the same dial.
Glad to George, the sweep second hand is a full second hand, which is missing on this, but will be on shortly. If you notice the indention on the movement, there's another wheel that turns the second hand, it is held in place by a small brass clip that screws in place. I have all the pieces and will post updated photo when completed. Bambi, 48-49 are the same dial, no increase in size of the character.
I've only seen 5 others (none were Mickey) with the sweep second hand, Ultra-rare, not sure if they were late year models, but that's my thinking. Thank you for the love shown, very appreciated!!
George, added new photo showing the wheel and clip.
I have not come across one like this before. Great great find! Thanks for sharing.

So great! Wasn't there a thumper watch too?
valentino97, yes there is a "Thumper", but it much later, they were not introduced until the "Quartz" style watches, that would date them 1980's and newer. Thanks you for the wonderful complement on this and it's very appreciated!!
Thank you Gary for stopping in and sharing the love, very appreciated!!
Look forward to seeing the watch with the sweep second hand! My guess is that the hand is red in colour like the US Time Donald Duck we talked about recently.
Will let you know when it's back to 100% and it would be red
