Enamel faces on Ch Hour clocks (I've seen 5 in 25 years) seem to be possibly by the same Artist even to the speckles and this same Turquoise, but who was he/she? As you'll see on the back of this face, covered by and screwed to a heavy brass plate, are 2 inscriptions. They appear to be by the same tool and writing,I hope you can read them, but in case - they read (1) REP Jan 30th 1929 BC204 and (2)See our city Toronto TTC great transportation
These words are only visible on the face when completely detached!
Is it possible the enamel faces were made in Toronto and sent to the French factory to be assembled. TTC refers to the city Transportation body founded around 1922. Any thoughts?Sushi?
