My sister moved back home briefly a few years ago when her job transferred her closer to home for a few months. After she moved out she let me have this. From the patent it is from May 31st, 1927. It's been in storage for a few years so its pretty dusty. How do I safely clean it/polish it without damaging it or removing any of the painted on text on the front and back? It works perfectly, just a little slow. The keys all strike and the ribbons move and it slides back fine. The only damage I can see is the back rubber stopper on one of the "feet" is gone and the others are cracked. Any info anyone has is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for lookin!

The inside you can clean best with something that is called WD-40. A lubricant. The outside you best can do with a all-surface spray and a soft sponge if the paint isn't peeling. If it is, don't do anything before you ask a professional.
My advice would be not to touch a thing, until you have it appraised by an expert, like coins, they say do not try to refurbish them, it makes them less valuable.
