looks like a feed mill for grinding corn and such,a very old one too.could you post more and closer photos?Is there stone in the center?
That is the best picture I have, for now, and yes, there are two stones in it. I think it was used by my great grandfather in his various businesses.
with the 2 stones like I thought,yes it's a mill for grinding wheat,corn,etc.Thanks for posting!The material would be poured in the funnel like thing around the shaft as the top stone turned against the stationary one,as it was ground smaller it would exit probably on the side or bottom...and viola!!!!!!!!you had corn meal,flour,etc.
