As with most Czech deco exported glass, it is really difficult to attribute a maker.. i believe this piece to be by Ruckl.. i have no documentation of such an attribution..I have had his one for many years now.. bought when i first started collecting.. never really knowing who to atribute this piece to.. the mark is in gold.. it has four sides a very interesting shape.. it is green, red, orange, a dark blue and a lighter blue and yellow/green spatter it is exactly 8" tall and has a 2 3/4"base flat cut rim..i have seen a few of these surface in the 20 yrs ive been handling czech glass! so now i am looking for an atribution.. and hoping to discuss this type of provenance mark.. any thoughts??
the lines you see on the vase are from the sun shinning through my blinds and reflecting on the glass.. FYI

The mark looks like a Kralik mark to me - like what Dr. Al shows on his website as the "Kralik straight mark". The lettering is the same or a similar font, and some of them do have a slight upward curve. That would be my guess.
thanks dasullywon and ozmarty
The exact same mark appears in one Ruckl ball shade, I think Warren's!
In fact, I thought the mark's odd shape was due to the curvature of the glass. Now I know it was deliberate.
Dasullywon, this is the gold kralik mark i think you were refering to..

Thanks czechman, I am still trying to sort all of this out (I saw your other posting also) and it appears difficult to attribute using the mark alone! This whole business of the mark being added later by the exporter (of several different makers) just adds another wrinkle, and complicates an already confusing market; but if it was easy it wouldn't be as much fun. :)
i agree dasullywon, fun yet terrifying at the same time..
