Was begining to think this baby was lost..long story.. but i looked out my front door this eve and saw it had finally arrived..was lost for a bit.. YAY... I love this Kralik ball vase for many reasons.. the colors are FANTASTIC!.. and the applied sterling silver rim, along with a silver letter S on the front of the vase.. the interior is white, the spatter is red, green, blue, yellow and orange.. may be a few other colors but its really hard to see them all.. the outer layer of glass is a smokey colored crystal that gives the vase a deep dark richness.. i love all these factors about it!~
BUT~ what really got me all excited wasw the applied sterling silver letter S.. this piece is a Christmas gift to the love of my life going on 21 years now in march.. His last name is Sladecek ..(and yes he is Czech) and no, that has NOTHING to do with my love of Bohemian glass... just a coincident! but he has grown to love our czech glass collection..maybe not as much as me but thats ok ;).. i just thought how fantastic is that.. the letter S on the vase now stands for Sladecek..pretty COOL RIGHT?
i have no clue who it was intended for to begin with.. a Sladecek maybe? LOL... this piece stands 6 1/2" tall and 3" base 19" around mid section..
this piece is a tad bit larger than my other two Kralik ball vases and the rim is taller im in love with it :)

My last name starts with "S" too, so I'll have to find the twin. Now THAT is a Kralik mark! Wonderful piece; I love the colors too. The flared mouth with the contrasting silver is marvelous. Excellent!

Great find, Gary!!!!
I am no fan of ball and fan vases (yes, I have several of each) because of the shelf space they occupy, but this is awesome!
Glorious. Of course, my last name starts with S too. Should he ever get bored, he can bring it over to London with him. Just a suggestion ...
