Gramps bought this baby new from Montgomery Wards I think. I may be mistaken, maybe it was Sears? Last running in the 80's. My grandmother had the most awful evil tempered nasty little grey poodle when I was a kid. It started out as ours when I was a baby in '72. It snapped at me one day and my father gave it to her. She loved that dog. It always hated me. Hated. Growled at me whenever I'd walk by hatred. Sooo, fast forward 10 yrs and Grandpas got the Mobylette running for my brother and I one sunny summer afternoon out on the farm. We decide Grandma should give it a try. After alot of "c'mon Grandma, c'mon" she climbs on and within minutes accidentally rolls over that nasty dog, not only with the front tire but the rear as well. Legs up and screaming my grandmother takes out her own dog. That dog rolled twice as the wheels went over him and stood up, shook it off and continued to chase after her. Indestructible devil dog lived for many many years after.
I miss my grandparents alot and every little item I have that was theirs is very precious to me.
