Got this the other day. It's a 1944 "Ike" style uniform, Found the dog tags, religion marker, P-38 and church key in one pocket. The other had the train ticket , sleeve and several "riskee" photo's of his girl freind. Thanks for looking and hope some of the "Military" buffs find some enjoyment in this posting.

i bet you look great in this :) model this for us :) please:)
LOL Sean, might be just a little small, but had to save it from the "Trash man"
Thanks Tony and Sean for showing the love. :-)
Thanks Dave for showing the love, very appreciated!!
Are the branch and US insignia domed or flat?
Domed would indicate 1950s-- later service after the war or replacement insignia.
Could just be the photograph/ the way I am viewing it.
Thanks for sharing.

lol , KERRY :) LMAO:)
your welcome kerry:)
Scott, they are domed, must be replacements, the tag in pocket is dated 1944, the "trash" I saved this from, came from the widow. She told me he was in from 1942-1950 as enlisted, then became an officer in 1951. Warrant officer through out Korea and retired as a Captain.
He could have worn this uniform with the "new" branch insignia to the point that he was comissioned and purchased an officer's set.
It is nice that it didn't end up in the trash and went to someone who can appreciate it!
Thanks again for sharing,
scott

You didn't show the train ticket and photos. If the pictures were of an old flame before his wife, maybe that's why she threw it out. :)
Probably so on the old flame, they are very provokative, lol, if they were her, she'd probably tore them up
Thank you ttomtucker for stopping in and sharing the love, always a welcome sight to see you've been here.
