This is an antique biscuit tin that belonged to my grandmother and held all her cooking recipes. It is 12 1/2" long by 11" wide by 6" deep. This post is showing the lid and inside, the second posting to follow will show the other two side panels and the front and rear panels. It is hinged at the back of the lid and has a clasp at the front. There is no makers mark. The lid depicts a picture of the painting by Rembrandt titled "The Night Watch". The other panels will be described on the following post.
