This is an antique biscuit tin that belonged to my grandmother and held all her cooking recipes. It is 12 1/2" long by 11" wide by 6" deep. The first posting showed the lid and inside, this is the second posting as follow-up to show the other two side panels and the front and rear panels. It is hinged at the back of the lid and has a clasp at the front. There is no makers mark. The lid depicts a picture of the painting by Rembrandt titled "The Night Watch". These other panels are described as follow;
The front panel depicts a picture of the painting "The Civic Guard" or as known as "Officers and Sergaents of the St. Hadrian Civic Guard" by Frans Hals. The back panel depicts a picture of the painting "Rainbow with Landscape" also called "The Rainbow Landscape" by Peter Paul Rubens. The right side panel depicts a picture of the painting "The Smiling Cavalier" or as known as "The Laughing Cavalier" by Frans Hals. The left side panel depicts a picture of the painting "The Jolly Toper" also by Frans Hals.
